What to Expect When you Work With a Travel Copywriter

The idea of working with a copywriter is foreign to a lot of people. You might not be sure what to expect or even what to do first. Here’s a quick run-down of what you can expect when you work with me, beginning with your free 20-minute get-to-know-you call.

This free Zoom call offers both of us the opportunity to get to know each other. We’ll talk about your goals, your business, and what makes you passionate about the unique travel services you offer. You’ll also get to ask me questions and learn more about how copywriting services can help your business succeed.

Here are a few questions you can think about before our call to get your mind prepared:

  • Who’s your ideal client? Why?

  • What made you choose travel as a profession?

  • What’s an area in your business you’d love to flow better?

After our initial call, I’ll send you an email with details on the next steps of how to get started.

I like to start with a smaller project before we jump into the big stuff. This helps both of us determine if we’ll be a good fit for each other and once that’s complete, we can move on to bigger projects.

As we move forward, I’ll ask to see examples of any writing that inspires you to make sure I nail the voice and style you’d like to portray.

Once we decide on a project, I ask for 50% of your total at this time to make sure your spot is reserved in my calendar.

I’ll begin working on your project and have the first draft delivered to you on or before your deadline. The second half of the payment is due at this time too.

Once you read through the draft, I like to ask for your suggestions and thoughts on the piece. After you go through it, I’ll add your edits and send you the completed content. Since I offer two free edits, you can go through it once more and add one more round of revisions if needed.

After that’s complete, you’re ready to hit publish and watch as you reap the benefits of high-quality copy in your travel business!
